This #TeamLeaderTuesday is dedicated to 2018 Ranger Veteran Leader Award Recipient & 1/75 Ranger Veteran, Jason Olson.
Originally from El Dorado Hills, CA, Jason enlisted in the Army in 1999 with a general Infantry contract with a guaranteed Airborne slot. Once at Airborne School, he realized he wanted to push himself harder, so after meeting with a Ranger Regiment Recruiter and signing a Ranger contract, Jason was assigned to 1/75 in Savannah, where he spent the remainder of his days in the Army. Jason has been married to his wife Julie since 2004 and has three amazing kids: Kayla, Lauren, and Connor. Jason has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and worked for BASF and now Kinder Morgan as a Controller.
In 2012 along with fellow 1/75 Ranger Veteran, Tristan O’Brien, and 1/75 Ranger Wife, Leslie Watts, he started an annual Ranger Appreciation Golf Tournament is held every fall in Savannah. The event focuses on bringing Rangers of all eras together along with supporters, to enjoy a great day of golf, food, drinks, and making new friends or reuniting with old Rangers that you may not have seen in years. Staying active and giving back to the Ranger Community remains a top priority in his life and will for many years to come.
Jason, you set the example for others to follow and we thank you for continuing to LEAD THE WAY in your community!
RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
