This #TeamLeaderTuesday is dedicated to 2019 Ranger Veteran Leader Award Recipient, COL Kimberly Moros.
COL Kimberly Moros served as the U.S. Special Operations Command Warrior Care Program (Care Coalition) chief of Career Transition from 2013 to 2018. During her five years, COL Moros and her team were responsible for the successful transition of more than 1,600 SOF wounded injured and ill personnel into employment or educational opportunities best aligned with their career desires, skills and talents. Through her tireless pursuit of excellence for our nation’s heroes, COL Moros was personally responsible for growing the Care Coalition’s fellowships program with over 350 partnerships created with public and private sector organizations. These fellowships provided world-class, no cost, on-the-job training for our SOF wounded, injured and ill to best prepare them for their transition into the civilian world.
COL Moros was one of 33 individuals serving our nation’s veterans selected to the inaugural class of the 2018 George W. Bush Institute’s Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program. COL Moros’ leadership project included an exploratory survey to collect data regarding different aspects of women’s military experiences and to identify why women have a shorter continuation rate than men, and a discussion paper to address innovative strategies on how the military can maintain talented women within their ranks.
COL Moros, we thank you for continuing to LEAD THE WAY in your community and setting the example for others to follow!
